AI Chart Builder

/ai-chart lets you describe a chart in plain English and get the rendered result.

Building a chart

1. Type a prompt in the input — or click one of the example chips:
   • “Show daily page_view trend for the last 30 days”
   • “Funnel: signup → onboard_complete → first_purchase last 14 days”
   • “Weekly retention from signup last 8 weeks”
2. Press Enter or click Build.

The AI returns a Chart spec (visible as JSON) and the dashboard fetches the data and renders it. If the spec was served from cache you’ll see a small cached badge.

Saving

After a chart renders, click Save to keep the prompt and spec in your Saved queries.

When the AI can’t render

If the AI is unsure or there’s no matching data, the spec still renders but you’ll see “No data available for this chart — try a different date range or event name.”
